Sydney at slow speed

August 31, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

Sydney was a bit wet, and not very scenic. The solution was to shoot indoors, but also to find some suitably different aspects to what may be fine subjects on blue sky days, but are rather boring in overcast conditions. So I went looking for some alternative ideas.

On the day I used an Olympus E-M1 to travel light, and also to take advantage of the In-Body Image Stabilization (ISIS). I can handhold this remarkable camera down to about half a second, although I usually try to keep to above ¼ second at 12mm (24mm equiv). So no tripod needed.

Here are some shots taken in the QV Building all hand held, using a railing where possible to steady the shot.
